Políticamente Incorrecto

Mariano Santos

Lincoln, Argentina

Politically Incorrect, hosted by Mariano Santos, was born during the pandemic as a way of expressing resistance to lockdown, isolation and a reality in which getting close to another person could suddenly become something forbidden.

In the middle of a time defined by distance, Mariano found in music a way to symbolically recover what could no longer be done freely: dancing, getting close, embracing and sharing a song with someone.

Monday through Friday, from 10 to 11 PM, the show takes a journey through the soft music of the 1980s and 1990s, bringing back songs that are increasingly difficult to hear today, yet remain deeply connected to the memories and emotions of an entire generation.

A time when asking someone to dance could become an adventure. The nerves before approaching someone, the uncertainty of whether they would accept or say no, and finally that moment when two people began dancing together, embraced by the rhythm of a song.

Because back then, dancing together was about much more than dancing.

And that is where the name Politically Incorrect comes from. During the pandemic, a hug could almost feel like a crime. Distance became the rule, and physical contact was something to avoid. Bringing these songs back to the airwaves became a way of saying: we don't want to forget what it means to be close to someone.

An hour to rediscover songs, emotions and memories from a time when music could bring two people together without the need to say a single word.

Politically Incorrect was not created simply to look back with nostalgia. It was born to remind us that some things should never stop being allowed: feeling, getting close, dancing and embracing.
